Monday morn at the Glen Mohr hotel.
Haggis for breakfast!
Makes a change from black pudding. Went for a wander round Inverness to work off the effects of a fine breakfast.
Have published a picture of Inverness by day which the more astute will realise is like Inverness by night (last post) only lighter.
It's getting a bit chilly round the Trossacks this morning but no matter the crocuses on the banks of the Ness are a brave display.
Adrian arrives today lunchtime so a quick shandy at the Glen Mohr then to Muirtown locks to get on board.
Bought postcards in town in a gift shop full of Tartan and shortbread and run by a German who gave me a toffee ! Also bought an extra pullover in M&S where I met my new girlfriend.
Adrian arrives in time for a pint then off to get on board. A great welcome and a good cabin .
And we're off! Leaving Muirtown Locks for Dochgarroch. Being an idiot I was outside for most of the trip- cold and happy. A few shots along the way are below.
Moored at Dochgarroch in the lock overnight. Great evening with odd types all up for the crack and silly as well. An excellent dinner (prawns, cauliflower soup salmon and not being a pudding person can't remember )- followed by a whisky tasting and talk. Retired hurt about midnight. Now snowing with enthusiasm. God Save the Queen.
